Spot the difference.

I found something that is really nice and amazing. But at the same time, I lost something that is important to me as well.

I know things would never turn out the way like how it used to be. I can always tell myself this would happen, that would happen.. But at the end of the day, I’m cheating myself and am never going to learn the harsh truth. I don’t know what to do. Sometimes even clueless, I keep finding myself to be at the bottom of the pit, struggling to find a way out. The only thing that is keeping me alive is the light from up above. Why do things have to turn out this way? Why did I fell through the rabbit hole and into a land of desolate? Where have I gone wrong?

There’s no use in saying things like this and yet doing nothing about it. Should I try to make myself more inviting? Or should I be a stupid sucker and let them pelt me whenever they want to? Maybe.. Just maybe, it is time for a change. To be someone who gives up his pride or to be someone who is restored with his pride, but with the result of losing his close ones. Choose your answer wisely.

The Pier.

When you see this picture, what is the first thought that immediately springs into your mind? Why did you feel that way? Is it because you feel a hint of loneliness? Or rather, is it a whole on its own? Is it because you’re saddened by the recent things that happened in your life? To an extent that you decide you would walk this lonely and naked pier all by yourself? Or is it the feeling of nostalgia? 

Then again, have you ever felt a sense of loneliness in your heart? Do not lie to yourself. Do not cheat yourself. If you do, I suggest you turn away from this page right now. Ask yourself why are you feeling this way. Maybe it is like the old feeling where you will know no one will be out there looking out for you, keeping an eye on one and every of your single movements? Subconsicously, I know you are thinking about it. Any normal human being from our world would. And if I may suggest, do not let this affect you. Because if you let this affect you, it would only distort and bring your life down. 

Cause I know for the fact that no one is alone in this world. Strangely as I sound, I’m sure there’s a hint of interaction in the everyday things we do. Moreover, we are all creatures created by God. And there is a reason why there are billions of us created in this world. However, that’s for you to decide. 

The Light.

Have you ever imagined that out there in the real world, there are no lights? Roads that are filled with the gloomy light from street lamps are gone. And what are you left with? The bright and intense light source of our moon, circular in shape, enshrouding our entire island that we are living in.

Well and once you have taken a glance at it, have you ever notice how compose and tranquil it is? Then again, if you could just associate your life with it, do you notice how peaceful and loving it is? In this solemn of night that we are all abiding, I shall stop to let this thought linger in your mind.

The Peace.

Are we truly at peace with our lives? Or are we always fighting to get what we want? Maybe, we are constantly getting so incredibly good at lying to ourselves that we are? If not, are we truly contented with what we have? Do we always keep wanting more and more and not knowing when to stop? 

Looking back at the different aspects of life, one is to be grateful to God for them. Be it in terms of wealth, status, reputation and many other things. We know we ourselves have the particular thought of greed in our minds, always wanting more and never knowing when to stop. Even we are truly satisfied with ourselves, why is the reason so? If we are not, how will we ever be? Well, humans, time to think hard, alone, in this cold and quiet night. 

The Anxiety.

It is the second month of the year 2011. And it’s usually around this period of time where anxiety are all written over guys faces. Flowers are being given to the females, the rate of condom purchases are increased. Yes people.. You know that day. It’s Valentine’s day. Sadly to say, it is approaching in exactly 3 days. Well, ask yourself. Do you know even know why is it being celebrated?

Valentine’s day is traditionally a day which lovers express their love for one other by presenting flowers, offering chocolates, and sending greeting cards. This could be an act of love, an act of attraction or whatever an act you might want to call it. The question is.. What’s the reason for us to celebrate it? 

Actually, we celebrate Valentine’s Day because it is dedicated to the patron saint of romantic causes, St. Valentine. Before the year of 1969, it was one of the many Saint’s Days observed by the Catholic Church. However, it was removed from the Church’s calendar from that year onwards. This religious meaning coupled with Valentine’s Day’s roots in Roman culture have allowed it to continue as a holiday for everyone. These early Christians saw Valentine’s Day as a way to honor St. Valentine, of whom there were actually three. The Catholic Church recognizes three saints by that name, all who were martyred on February 14. 

Yes, so now we know why are we even celebrating it. But, the more depressing question is.. Do you guys have a valentine on that lovely day? Or shall I put it as a fateful day for some people? It’s only for you to decide. Cheers.
